James Markham Hall, Jr. is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Filmmaking and serves as a Director and Director of Photography in the entertainment industry. In 2007, James earned an Emmy nomination for his work on the A&E series "Intervention" and has been responsible for the Cinematography of programming on all the major networks. His most recent work includes "IVERSON," the feature-length documentary charting the rise of NBA All-Star Allen Iverson, airing on Showtime.

James' recent work includes serving as Director and Director of Photography on CBS's "Lucky Dog," Director of Photography on "Dr. Dee: Alaskan Vet" for Animal Planet and Camera Operator on "Dr. Oakley: Yukon Vet" for National Geographic and Lip Sync Battle for SPIKE. James has a passion for creating Stereoscopic 3D content and served as Producer and Camera Operator on "Turn & Burn" for 3NET. He was a 3D camera operator on the IMAX 3D documentary "Under The Electric Sky” released by Focus Features.

James is an Actor and Host, performing as the Mutant Polar Bear "BETA" in the feature film "UNNATURAL" starring James Remar and Sherilyn Fenn. His high energy hosting style has been showcased at ArtBattles Los Angeles, the sCare Foundation Benefits by Trancas Films International as well as the Improvised Music and Comedy event Blouze-O-Ween Live 3D, which he also produces, held at Universal Studios Citywalk, Jon Lovitz Comedy Club.

James' varied artistic talents, diverse skills and passion for technology have led him to form GOLD CREEK VR with longtime producing partner Ted Faye to create the Virtual Reality series "American Ghost Towns, " which transports audiences through the remnants of American settlements and villages that have been left behind. "AMERICAN GHOST TOWNS - GOLDFIELD" was recognized as BEST LIVE ACTION VR EDUCATIONAL FILM at 2016 VIRTUAL REALITY FESTIVAL held at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Gold Ceek VR recently partnered with METTLE INC. and were featured on their Mettle Blog regarding Virtual Reality post-production techniques with footage from "American Ghost Towns" made available for DOWNLOAD.

American Ghost Towns is available on the SAMSUNG GEAR VR powered by OCULUS in the SAMSUNG MILK VR virtual reality marketplace. Additionally "American Ghost Towns" is available through ASCAPE on iOS or Android and all major VR platforms. James is excited to be a part of the cinematic Virtual Reality movement and to continue creating high-quality Cinematic Virtual Reality Experiences that resonate with audiences across the globe on a visual and emotional level.
